Google is getting more serious now for Google Chrome security. In order to make chrome browser more secure it is planning to give incentives to the external researchers, developers and enthusiasts  for reporting original vulnerabilities in the browser. Google hopes that incentive program will encourage more users to get into the Chromium security project, thereby making the browser more and more secure.

Every bug you found can fetch you a reward of $500, however if the problem is found "lethal" or "impressive" the reward rises to U.S. $ 1337.

With the initiative, Google joins Mozilla Foundation also offers rewards to researchers who find flaws in their products.

It is noteworthy that bugs in plugins that are part of the Chromium project and shipped with Google Chrome by default (e.g. Google Gears) may be eligible but bugs in third-party plugins and extensions are ineligible.
