If you’re like me, you spend a fair amount of time organizing files and folders in Windows Explorer, moving and copying until everything is just where you want it. Sometimes, it can be a slow and frustrating experience. I recently found a little application called TeraCopy that helps improve file copy/move performance.

TeraCopy is a small application, with a download package size just less than 1MB.It replaces the basic move/copy commands in Windows Explorer (you can set it up to perform all default copy and move functions when you simply drag folders around). Simply right-click and drag and you’re presented with a couple of new functions in the context menu: TeraCopy Copy and TeraCopy Move.

With Tera copy you can pause and resume files transfer with single click. In case of copy error, TeraCopy will try several times and in the worse case just skips the file, not terminating the entire transfer.

Features

  • Copy files faster.
  • Pause and resume file transfers
  • Error recovery
  • Interactive file list
  • Shell integration

Supported OS: Windows 2K/XP/Vista

If you copy large files often or have a big file you’ve been meaning to transfer, TeraCopy is a great program that will speed up your productivity and make transfers much less frustrating.I’m loving it what about you.
